28.
consider and take appropriate action on sending a letter to congressman lloyd doggett supporting his efforts to pass comprehensive and effective legislation to address global climate change.

>> yes.
judge.
i'm a Ron paul enthusiast, obviously, here to express as a tax paying Travis County individual that I'm wanting to -- to express my dismay and total disagreement with sending anything of encouragement to lloyd doggett, especially about -- about so-called climate change.
think about this but -- people don't think about this, but I think climate change, global warming, if it's happening, it's a good thing.
water is the basis of all life.
and for our planet to -- to be melting some of that frozen water, ice, to make it available for the living things on our planet, that's a good thing.
if you look at cosmelogical history, our planet from time to time has gone through various stages of global warming, not global warming.
just in my mind since again water is the basis of all life, it seems to me more water available means more living things have chances to survive.
of course some coastal cities will have difficulties, in our present state of mind we can't seem to negotiate change very well, but things do change and as far as the total planet goes, I'm not -- I'm not afraid of global climate change, what they call as global climate change for us to legislatively think that we could show, powerful species that we are, somehow alter this cosmelogical variation of water, temperature, is arrogant and -- and I think counter productive and obviously a waste of money.
so -- so in protection of the taxpayers dollar, let's not encourage mr.
doggett in any way.
he's -- he's once again I believe not -- not doing what's best for all of us.
so like I said, I had to throw my two cents in.
-- I know there are other people here in Travis County who don't go along with the climate changing along with the climate change dogma floating around.
i wanted to express -- my question for you is actually shall we be taking, sending a letter as a county?
thanking him for his efforts on this global warming fee fiasco.

>> yes, it will be a letter from the Commissioners court.
would you like a copy?

>> gosh yes.
it would help.
just in passing, I haven't really obviously had a chance to look over it yet, but there's -- there's -- okay.
so it's an expression of how you all I guess unanimously agree with the global warming concept or whatever.
okay.
well, again, it's -- as a citizen I want to express my feeling about that.
thank you so much for your patience.

>> thank you.

>> is there a motion?
move approval of the letter.

>> second.

>> discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
travis and ms.
flemming nearby.
if so with can get them to head this way and we will take up 15 e.
