Travis County Commissioners Court

May 5, 2009,
Item 25

View captioned video.

By the way, we need to postpone item 25, Commissioner Huber and I did meet with the txdot representatives last Friday, we think this is moving in the right direction, with but we need a little bit more time.
in my view when we bring it back it ought to be for final action on the different pieces.
what if we plan to do that in two weeks instead of one.
I think that will give us a better chance.
we are dealing with three entities.

>> judge, I -- I don't -- maybe before it comes back to the court, if you can probably -- if we can probably get some information on what -- what would it cost for a toll tag for authorized vehicles that we feel may need emergency activity on the toll.
what would a tag actually cost us?

>> okay, now the emergency vehicles are supposed to be exempted.

>> I know, but I’m just saying as far as emergency as far as not for -- for the public safety per se, people that as an example, maybe in a t.n.r.
situation, da-da-da, not the other health and safety stuff, but an emergency to try to get to a place pretty quick-like.

>> txdot will give you more information than you need on that.

>> oh, really?

>> is there a txdot tag listing.

>> that's a burleson request.
burleson suggested that.
but anyway, the point is that if there may be additional tag that's may be needed, what would they be?
trying to identify and capture all that are really necessary, if there is a cost associated with that, what would those tags cost.

>> I would contact ctrma, get that phone number, they will be able to put you in touch with the right person.

>> ms. Burleson you heard that?

>> ctrma and txdot to see what those tags would cost.

>> just to remind folks that ctrma is already zeroed out our fines from their system.

>> we will have that item back on in two weeks?
all right.
that -- that -- there it is.
