approve proclamation naming may 7, 2009 as "law day" in Travis County

proclamation 2009, law day.
whereas this county was founded on the principle that voluntary adherence to the rule of law expands rather than limits the opportunities for freedom and whereas the viable democracy requires understanding of the nature and basis of our freedoms and recognition of the individual responsibilities that those freedoms impose and whereas the law day 2009 theme, a legacy of liberty, celebrating lincoln's bicentennial encourages all americans to explore the legacy of abraham lincoln regarded by many as one of our nation's greatest and most eloquent presidents.
now the Travis County Commissioners court proclaims Tuesday, may 7th, 2009 as law day.
isn't it may 5th?
>> yes.
>> Tuesday is may 5th.
>> yes.
it's a typo.
Tuesday, may 5th 2009 as law day.
we urge the citizens, schools, businesses and media to preserve and strengthen the rule of law.
and would you like to say something?
in the absence of the attorneys?
>> well, on the -- gosh, I hate to -- yeah, okay.
on behalf of the cursed attorneys I would like to just mention impeach and convict war criminals, bush, cheney, obama, biden, both clintons, et cetera.
I just -- I had to throw that in there.
>> [indiscernible]
>> thank you very much.
>> make the motion.
>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
>> we will send the fact that it's the bicentennial of lincoln's celebrating lincoln's bicentennial to our governor so that he can review it for secession purposes.
>> [laughter]
