Executive Session
Let's call back to order the voting session of the Travis County Commissioners court.we do have two open court items.
we'll take them after executive session.
item 36 is the first executive session item.
36-a, receive briefing from the county attorney and take appropriate action in jennifer mcphail versus Travis County.
and 36-b, consider and take appropriate action on modification of exposition center form license agreement to add clause regarding a.d.a.
routes.
we announced this morning 37 and 38 will not be taken up today.
39 is to receive briefing from security committee, including request from another governmental entity and take appropriate action.
that's under the security exception to the open meetings act.
40, receive briefing from county attorney regarding cause number d-1-gn-09-005000, j.
adan baluster rose and bob van in the 250th district court of Travis County Texas and take appropriate action regarding outside counsel representation issues.
consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act.
and number 41, receive legal briefing and take appropriate action regarding contract with the star of Texas fair and rodeo, including certain signage placed in the luedecke arena at Travis County exposition center.
this is the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act also.
we will discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

we misspoke, I misspoke regarding item 37.
we will need to take it.
we postponed 38.
37, though, is to consider and take appropriate action on request to join city of Austin and other partners in the redevelopment of seaholm power plant project, including the offering of financing incentives for project green.
and 37 will be taken up under the deliberation regarding economic development negotiations exception to the open meetings act.
so we will discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

and then number 37 which involved a sea home power plant project and a request from the city and others regarding project green.
we will have this matter back on the court's agenda next week for further consideration and possible action.
we did not discuss item number 38.
thirty-nine is is a matter involving security issues and a briefing from the security committee.
first, I move that we approve the request made to us by the Texas department of public safety regarding security measures at a state building.

and the other recommendations can we have that next week and get a report back regarding security matters in the law library here in the ned grange administration building and when we discuss that fte, make sure we cover both?

number 40, the matter involve and Travis County add and we need to obtain council and I want, anderson brown and gaigoss.

that passes by unanimous vote.
we also discussed item 41 which includes our contract with star of Texas state fair and rodeo and signage issues.
no action required today in my view.
we need two weeks on this item, two weeks from today is April 13th.

>> April 14th is when this matter will be back on the court's agenda.
