We are ready for executive session, and this morning we discussed a couple of items in open court that we need to take in executive session for legal advice.
number 17, consider and take appropriate action on the request for Travis County to join the naco prescription discount card services and/or any other prescription card service, and we'll go into executive session under consultation with attorney.
that's number 17.
number 23, consider and take appropriate action on request from daniel kallick to waive penalty and interest to taxes due, consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act also.
26 is to consider and take appropriate action on the requested sale of two easements on county-owned land at the Travis County del valle correctional complex to allow for utility service to an adjoining property in precinct four.
consultation with attorney and real property exceptions to the open meetings act.
27, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in the matter of Travis County versus flint hills resources lp and koch pipeline company, lp, consultation with attorney exception.
28, receive legal briefing and take appropriate action regarding the mediation of claims by Karen steitle, including settlement offer in eeoc charge number 31 c-2008-01470, consultation with attorney and personnel matters exceptions to the open meetings act.
29, receive legal briefing and take appropriate action regarding contract with the star of Texas fair and rodeo, including certain signage placed in the luedecke arena at Travis County exposition center, consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act.
a-1 is to receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in settlement offer on attorney's fees in reliable consultants inc., d/b/a dreamers, versus ronnie early, et al, number a-0-ca-086-ly.
consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act.
and number a-2, receive briefing and take appropriate action on request for assistance with complaint regarding activities at the east rural community center.
we'll go into executive session under the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act.
we'll discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

number 23 is a matter involving a request from daniel kallick that we waive penalty and interest on taxeses due.
i move we deny it and authorize the county judge to send is letter to the mr.
kallick of reasons why we run the draft letter by attorney elliot beck before sending it so make sure yo get the reasons why.

number 27, we did discuss and we will have it on the court's agenda next week for appropriate action.
twenty-eight, the matter involving the mediation of claims by Karen steitle, I move that we reject the settlement offer and that we counter with something that is real close, that we agree to transfer ms.
steitle to -- transfer her slot and compensation to a comparable position in the health and human serviceses department and that we with compromise the request for sick leave by offering 24 hours or three days, which is one half of her request

twenty-nine is a matter involving the star of Texas fair and rodeo.
we move that we authorize the county attorney to draft an appropriate draft letter to circulate to court memberses for approval around that once we have a final copy, that we with sign it and send it to the attorney for the rodeo as well as the officer as and members if we can get names and addressed that we try to get that in the mail by late tomorrow, if possible, if not, by Thursday morning, since the time is of the essence action.

number a1 is the matter involving -- versus ronnie earl, I see we authorize the county attorney to agree that $60,000 is a reasonable amount in attorneys fees that we authorize the final of a a appropriate motion to bifurcate to give the court an opportunity to land on who owes that reasonable attorneys fees, so far we have taken the position that Travis County does not owe that a and that continues to be our position

a2 is a matter involving the east rural community center, move that the court draft an appropriate letter, asking the board to take appropriate responsive action and that we authorize county Commissioner Davis to sign that letter on behalf of the court
