March 17, 2009,
Item 8

View captioned video.

>> 8 is to consider and take appropriate action on the grant adjustment and notice for an extension of the 2006 law enforcement terrorism prevention program grant performance period.
mr.
reeferseed, if you would come to the mic there.

>> okay.
i don't want to have a big long thing to say about it like I usually do, but just an observation.
and I don't think I'm alone in this, but this so-called war on terrorism that's been waged for year and year after year against islam generally speaking is nonsensical, court productive, hateful and I'm not against the law enforcement getting their dues on participating in whatever program they have to, but just generally speaking the war on terrorism is all I'm speaking about, and that again is hateful, misdirected and makes the -- it hurts all of us.
it makes us united states of america look worse in the eyes of the world and for no good benefit.
that's all I wanted to say.

>> thank you.
what this does is to extend the performance period through tomorrow at 5:00.
this is kind of been in place since 2006.
move approval.

>> second.

>> discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
