Number 1 is a public hearing to receiving comments regarding a partial vacation of lots 31-35 in the hammet's crossing subdivision as recorded in volume 83, page 93 d and 94 a of the officially public records.

this item is to vacate 5 lots in this ham met's crossing subdivision and turn them into raw land.
the reason for this action is that ted stuart, who is the owner of these lots, has sold these, or has given or sold, whatever these lots to west gate preserve and lcra.
there's a contract stipulation they be converted to raw land.
so both of those entities have land adjacentant to this, so they do not need to be lots.
they don't need to be road frontage.
so tnr, we have reviewed and it meets our standards.
there will be something in the future that comes as a result of this transaction.
there's a portion of hammet's crossing, a private street with the subdivision that is going to be realigned.
we are looking at construction plans now for realignment.
and once the realignment is built and there's a small section of hammet's crossing drive that will be vacated.
but that will be another item.
i just wanted to make the court aware, you'll be seeing something regarding this subdivision again in the future.

now, we understand that some residents may have come down mistakenly today thinking that a public hearing had been scheduled on another matter.
but law we cannot consider items that are not on the agenda.
however, by law, any resident has an opportunity to address the Commissioners court for up to three minutes under citizens communication, which comes up next.

receive comments regarding a partial plat vacation in precinct one: hidden lake estates, section 1 subdivision (95 total lots.

this morning I did city with a couple of constituents regarding this item and the second and third public hearings.
they are all related to vacating in two instances -- in this instance they're vacating all except for one lot and then a final plat off of an approved preliminary plan hidden lakes estate.
so this morning I did talk with the interested constituents and I explained to them what was going on.
and somewhat the platting process and how it structured preliminary plans, final plats and what.
the rationale behind our constituent, the developer wanting to vacate everything except for one lot.
i think that they understood.

>> they had no opposition to what we are doing here?

i think they -- I think there was some concerns about, you know, just development in general.
from when the prelim was approved but they understood the process a lot better and they don't -- I don't sense that there was any further opposition to this -- to the action today that is being proposed for today.

they were interested in more open spaces being preserved in that area.
particularly preservation of -- of some prairie land.
the lowlands along willbarger, they understand the development is increasing in the manor area and their main interest is preserver more of that bottom land for open spaces.
there was also specific question on parsons road and the flooding on parsons road at willbarger, I was able to tell her that we had a c.i.p.
project there to build the project.

>> we covered a lot of different ground but more or less I think their main interest is as development occurs that more land be set aside for open spaces.
