Executive Session
>> we are ready for executive session and I announced previously I have two or three questions for legal on the election equipment item, and if my office followed my directions, they called julie joe and gave her those questions so it ought to be real quick.
and what item is that?

>> 23.
>> 23 is to consider and take appropriate action on the formation of the county clerk elections study group for the purpose of studying and making recommendations for future Travis County voting systems.
and this will be under consultation with attorney that we go into executive session with those two or three legal questions.
27 is to receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action on attorneys fees in lee liable consultants, inc, dba dreamers versus ronnie earle.
consultation with attorney.
28, receive briefing from the county attorney and take appropriate action regarding outstanding obligation from kennedy ridge water supply corporation for utility relocation agreement.
consultation with attorney exception.
29 a receive legal briefing from county attorney on issues regarding confidential climate assessment received from employment practices solutions and take appropriate action.
and 29 b, deliberate results of confidential climate assessment in relation to executive manager of administrative operations, director of human resources management department and hrmd slot numbers 23, 16 and 9 and take appropriate action.
and 29 a and b under the consultation with attorney and personnel exceptions to the open meetings act.
we've already postponed item 30.
it will be back on the agenda next week.
and 31, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding issues related to novation of license agreement for operation of community center.
this will be under the consultation with attorney and real estate, real property exceptions to the open meetings act.
we will discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

number 23 involving Travis County future voting systems. We got the legal briefing and in my view no action is required.
number 27 the matter involving reliable consultants inc., d/b/a dreamers against ronnie early and others, I move that we authorize the county attorney's office to stipulate that $120,000 is reasonable.
of the 240,000-dollar claim.
and that the county continue to rely on the county's not being liable for any of this attorney's fees.

we discussed number 28, the matter involving kennedy ridge water corporation.
staff is still working on this.
we did give directions for additional information so we'll have it back on the court's agency next week for appropriate action.
number 30, the matter involving what -- we postponed that and did not discuss it.
31 we did discuss and we'll mull over that an additional week and plan to take action on it next week.
the clerk called to our attention that we have not considered item number 26, so we'll consider it next week.
26 we will postpone.
now, christian smith has come back in and wants us to state for the record the court's willingness to meet on the 25th -- Wednesday the 25th at 9:00 a.m.
we initially said that we would meet at 1:30.
one of us cannot meet at the time.
over lunch we determined that all of us can meet at 9:00 in the morning.
christian wants to set aside at least three hours.
and we always do what christian wants us to do.
now, we do need to take a few hours to mull over our discussion of 20 a hnd b, the matter involving the climate assessment, and our deliberations on b there.
I move that we recess the Commissioners court until nine a.m.
tomorrow morning.
