Number 17 is to discuss and take proament action on selection of new fiscal agent for the Travis County combined charities campaign. Ms. Dana debeauvoir?

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners.

>> happy new year.

>> good morning. Welcome to our Commissioner precinct 3.

>> happy new year, dana.

>> happy new year.

>> what we would like the court to do today is to help us make a change in the way we are managing the combined charities funds that are coming in. We had an agent who was very highly recommended to us by one of our previous co-chairs of the combined charities, but as we got further and further into it, the new fellow figured out that he really didn't have the things that would have been best for Travis County. And he made the suggestion that we look for a particular thing from someone else. So a bunch of us got together and we reviewed his recommendation. And we have come back to the court with a proposal to you to replace russell anderson, the previous fiscal agent, with whom we signed a contract. He's willing to give it up because he recognizes now that it's really not something he can do. There's somebody else that can do this better. The name of the new association is Austin community foundation -- mary ben ramsey is helping us with this. Not only can they take over all of the things that we expected from the contract, but she also charges a lower rate, so we will get one percent, which is good news for Travis County and our charities.

>> it's a wonderful thing.

>> questions?

>> move approval, judge.

>> second.

>> discussion of the motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Give our thanks to the Austin community foundation and thank you and ms. Bell again for the outstanding job that y'all did on the combined charities campaign this year. Did we get to $200,000.

>> we're 4,000 short of $200,000. We're so close. We may try to do one more project so try to get to 200,000. I would like to thank the court and especially you,, judge, for your help. We couldn't have done it alone.

>> and also mr. Anderson in identifying what would be a better tool for us.

>> he was just a doll. I just can't say enough nice things about russell anderson. He is just a jewel.

>> thank you.

>> thank you.

>> move we adjourn.

>> second?

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote, a slow court, but a unanimous court.
