17, consider and take preapt action on items related to the program year 2007 consolidated annual performance evaluation report, called the caper, for the community development block grant, cdbg, provided by the united states department of housing and urban development, h.u.d.
acronyms all over the place.
a, receive notification and no comments were received during the public comment period.
b, report including changes made during the public comment period.
and c, submission to the u.s.
department of housing and urban development, san antonio field office, region vi.
>> good afternoon, sherri fleming, executive manager for health and human services.
we have three brief items related to our community development block grant.
the first, item a, has to do with each urban entitlement having to prepare a consolidated annual performance and evaluation plan.
and have that submitted to h.u.d.
by the end of the year.
on November 18th, the Commissioners court approved the draft of the plan year '07 caper, and allowed us to put it up for public comment.
during that public comment period, which was November 19th through December 12th, there was also a public hearing held here at Commissioners court on Tuesday, December 2nd at nine a.m.
there were no comments received from the public during the public comment period.

>> regarding item b of this item, during the time that the caper was up for public comment, staff have made small changes throughout the document, including some grammatical wording and formatting edits to improve the clarity and readability of the document.
additionally there were edits to the leveraging funds section, page 24, and appendix b pages 60 and 61 to match expenditures made during the reporting period.
an I've been told by staff that this is related to the closeout of the previous fiscal year, and so being able to update some of those numbers.
so with that information, staff recommends that the court accept those changes in the final document.
and you have a version with the track changes I think identified in legislative format.

>> and then finally, staff asked for authorization -- for approval and then authorization to submit to the san antonio field office region vi of the sufficient department of housing and urban development the caper for Travis County, which is due by December 31st, 2008.
>> move approval of the document plus submission to the regional office by Commissioner Daugherty and seconded by Commissioner Gomez.
