>> good morning, chris tee mofette, Travis County health and human services. Today we're here to talk about the annual report for the cdbg dollars we receive from the housing and urban development. While we have a power point presentation, it's available on the table by the front doors if you want to follow along. The purpose and intent of cdbg is approve community housing options and revitalize neighborhoods. In at least 70% of the 1:00 funds must benefit low to moderate residents in opportunity incorporated areas of Travis County. During the program year 2007, which spans from October 1st through September 30th, we funded six different projects. And spent a total of 291, $846 during the program year. In terms of timeliness, h.u.d. Requires that we spend our money at a certain pace to remain compliant. And that ratio that they like us to maintain is 1.5. At the end of the program year for 2007, we were at 1.81. Performance improvements goals for program year 2008 which is currently being implemented, staff are looking to increase efficiency by continuing to seek training and technical assistance to create a cdbg policy and procedure manual and to increase the timely spending of funds by recommending projects that can be spent -- that can be implemented in a more expedient manner. So today we're requesting public comments regarding the progress and actions for the program year 2007. Today you are able to provide those comments verbally. The public comment period will last until December 12th and we can continue to receive written comments until that time, either by e-mailing me at christymoffettaco.travis.tx u.s. Or 854-3650 and find out the address or visit our county web address.

>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing or comments? Move the public hearing be closed.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. I misspoke. Commissioner Daugherty is not temporarily off the die as. Commissioner Daugherty is out today. So the rest of us will proceed without him. Instead of citizens communication, why don't we jump to number 3, then we'll come back to citizens communication.
