>> 14 is approve issuance of a purchase order to contract number ps 000307 jj, buyout contract jeffrey s. Ward and associates. I guess the amount of the contract kind of stood out when we looked at it, joe, and how do we arrive at compensation before the consultant?

>> I believe this is a-he has -- we have had ward and associates under contract for the buyout of timber creek. When we're using fema grant money, in this case we're using the corps of engineers process and our own bond money, so I think the fees have been pretty much what he has been charging the county in the past per lot.

>> that's correct. Melinda with t.n.r. And here's cyd. This is a contract that we revisited and you approved last June to incorporate the corps process. The main difference between the buyouts we were doing with fema and the buyouts we'll be doing with the coarse, we have the additional expense of relocation. We'll be following a federal relocation procedure in that buyout and hiring a specialist in that as a sub. Jeff ward would be hiring a sub for that. So his prices have continued to be quite reasonable and the same that we've been paying him for other buyouts.

>> how do we determine the fee?

>> we went out to bid some time ago and this contract is an amendment to the original.

>> but is $326,000 because --

>> the number of parcels to be acquired.

>> so much per parcel?

>> yes.

>> so it's roughly $3,475 per parcel?

>> they do an analysis. They do title searches. There's a number of things that they do for each property, and their prices are in line with what they quoted us in the original contract.

>> we think that price is fair and reasonable and consistent with what we paid before.

>> it's actually a very good price, yes.

>> move approval.

>> second.

>> something about those big numbers still frightens me.

>> we're just in the wrong business, judge.

>> hard to get used to them. Any more discussion? All in favor say aye. That passes by unanimous vote. Now I feel real comfortable since you all have assured me that that's all right.

>> thanks.
