Executive Session

View captioned video.

>> now we have come to executive session. By the way, the county clerk says we do not need item no. 11.

>> all right. We previously announced we don't need item no. 13. We will postpone until next week. That leaves only item no. 14. 14. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the selection of person to fill intergovernmental relations coordinator position. 3 that's posted under the personnel matters exception to the open meetings act. So we will convene in executive session to discuss item no. 14. But we will return to open court before taking any action.

>> > we've returned from executive session where we discussed item 14. Commissioner Daugherty ran to another commitment and is no longer with us. But no action required today on 14. That's the matter involving the selection of a person to fill the intergovernmental relations coordinator position. I did go ahead and post this item on the November 7th agenda so we'll have a followup discussion then. And if I can make two very important announcements, the first one is that today is election day. The last day you will be able to vote in this year's presidential election and the other races on the ballot in the general election. The second one is that we have had an incident at mills elementary school and that's voting precinct 366 in southwest Austin. We did have to invoke emergency procedures there. The election place has been temporarily relocated but to an area nearby. So residents who go there to vote should be able to identify the new voting place, and we also have had to use paper ballots there. But we understand that the situation is under control and the person who caused the incident is getting appropriate attention and if necessary assistance. So those who vote at precinct 366, please look for another polling place near mills elementary school when you arrive, and the situation is under control, but there has been a little incident there. With that, no further business today.

>> move adjourn.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
