Item 24

View captioned video.

24 is to consider and take appropriate action on a memorandum of agreement between Travis County and sorenson communications, inc, to provide communication services for the deaf and hard of hearing. Anybody here on this item? This is supposed to be for equipment --

>> if we want to take it in the afternoon, I'll check the e-mail. I didn't see the e-mails on it.

>> I'm hoping we're not here this afternoon.

>> is that part of the interpretation services?

>> it is.

>> let's postpone it and see if you can get your questions answered.

>> sure. I'm sorry about that.

>> let's postpone until next week. But I -- when I looked at it initially, I thought it was actually communication services, I think this is supposed to be equipment more than anything else. Now, if we plan to --

>> it's in the sheriff's office.

>> okay. You are here on 24?

>> yes, sir.

>> 24, consider and take appropriate action on a memorandum of agreement between Travis County and sorenson communications to provide communication services for the deaf and hard of hearing. Questions?

>> I'm sorry, since we failed to -- I simply filed to see the e-mails on it.

>> all it is is to continue our contract with sorenson communication and our tty communications.

>> okay.

>> tty, that's equipment that enables deaf and hard of hearing persons to communicate, basically.

>> right.

>> yes, sir, judge.

>> so just an extension of the same memorandum of understanding without any changes financially?

>> right.

>> move approval.

>> second. Sorry.

>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you very much.

>> I can also answer questions on item number 25, which is our variance.

>> we put that on consent.

>> you don't want us to take it off consent, do you?

>> no, sir.

>> you have a good day too.
