>> in this case anybody here from the sheriff's office? You're here on 28 and 29? 28 is to consider and take appropriate on request from the sheriff's office to use fiscal year 2008 performance-based pay monies for one time lump sum payments to siivellian, non-supervisory employees within the sheriff's office.

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners. Debbie rich with the sheriff's office. We have just over $69,000 left in the two percent disnary money. So the proposal the sheriff has put on the table is to do a one time lump sum payment of $200 for each civilian in the sheriff's office that's not -- it's all non-supervisory personnel. There apparently was not a lump sum in the guidelines for this year's discretionary money, so we're asking the court's permission to do this one-time lump sum payment. It doesn't go to base pay. It just goes on to their last pay chelt for this fiscal year. -- the last paycheck for this fiscal year.

>> I think I recall seeing an e-mail from the auditor's office indicating that they could do this right?

>> pboed that the money was there. Sent correspondence over to the auditor's office, talked with greg jacobs as far as processing the paf's. I've sent information over to county hrmd. It's approximately 340 personnel action forms with the one-time payment, so it would be a one-time process.

>> and there's also been confirmation from the county attorney's office, so the county auditor and pbo and --

>> I have not heard from the county attorney's office. I did send a copy to --

>> I'm is sorry, you're right. It's from hr saying that they had checked with the county attorney's office.

>> ta da.

>> [ laughter ]

>> barbara wilson's e-mail here. It says there's not a legal issue associated with this payment as long as it is not seen or stated to be payment for previous work done. And some other stuff.

>> we don't have a brob this. It's an easy thing for us to do.

>> move approval.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you.
