Item 2

Item number 2 is to consider and take appropriate action on an order prohibiting outdoor burning in the uned areas of Travis County. We'll call the health care district next.

>> good morning, pete baldwin county emergency management. We haven't had enough. I met with all of the fire chiefs yesterday at our monthly. All of them are in agreement that we should hold at least a week before we take any action. We had some districts reporting in with less than a quarter of an inch over the three days. I know in Commissioner Gomez's precinct some places got in excess of two inches, but it's been spotty across the county. Our recommendation today is let's see what happens today and tomorrow and we will review it again next Tuesday because we would hate to pull it too soon for the areas that didn't get enough and have to turn around and it back. And if we do get additional rainfall it may be that we can go ahead and get it lifted for a couple of week.

>> thank you. So by taking no action we leave in place the order prohibiting open burning outside.

>> yes, sir.

>> I will mention I talked to hays county this morning. They're going to do the same thing, they're going to hold theirs in place also.
