Executive Session

We have come to our executive session. Right? Two items. 36. Receive briefing and take appropriate action on request to hire outside counsel for officer c. Hotard, regarding montez v. Travis County, et al. 1 that's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. And 37. Receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding issues related to contract between Travis County and Austin Travis County -- there's backup on 37 by the way -- appropriate action regarding issues related to contract between Travis County and Austin Travis County livestock show and claims resulting from the 2008 star of Texas fair and rodeo. 1 consultation with attorney, also. We do have a counter offer and also a -- a sort of a reply to the counter from -- from michael. Okay? We'll discuss these two in executive session but return to open court break taking any action. Before taking any action.


>> > we've returned from executive session. We announced item number 36, did not discuss it. It was postponed until next week. August the 12th. We did discuss item number 37, the matter involving the contract between Travis County and the Austin Travis County livestock show and claims resulting from the 2008 star of Texas fair and rodeo. We need additional time analyze a proposal that we have seen, and a couple of our key people are out of office probably on vacation in some far away place for the next week. And so we'll have this back on the court's agency in two weeks, August 19th. And I move that we thor the county judge to notify mr. Lamb for the association of this decision, and indicate that we plan to have something to him shortly after the August 19th meeting.
