Number 4 is to consider and take appropriate action on request from aarp foundation worksearch to approve host agency agreement.

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners, sherri flemming executive manager for health and human services and veterans service. This agreement is between Travis County and the aarp organization to provide senior residents the opportunity to work in our centers. This agreement was before you last year requesting your approval. I understand that we have had some recommended changes from the county attorney's office and so I would ask marietta gearhart to speak to those. We have had some -- some -- staff has had some discussion about this agreement and the recommendations actually are not in the -- in accordance with the expectations of the partner agency that we are looking to do business with. So I will let marietta speak to that. I think the court received a copy of the changes that we had replaced, if you have any questions I will be glad.

>> [indiscernible] I think most of it is self explanatory. I believe they would be beneficial to the county and provide additional protection. Aarp is not inclined to accept any changes

>> [indiscernible] last year, it's up to the court to make the decision to go ahead

>> [indiscernible]

>> turn the mic towards you there. Your many fans could not hear you. The last thing was aarp said basically we have a form contract that we use in all of the other jurisdictions use the same contract, we don't want to change it for Travis County, even if you can improve it for us. So we said well let's approve it as is, see if any harm is done. No harm done, but the contract could be improved. We have 24 retirees, is that 24 or 28.

>> 29 actually in your backup. On page 2 there's a chart showing how many participants and what locations they were able to work with us and we certainly appreciate, you know, having those volunteers that do a tremendous job for us. But we certainly can appreciate the county attorney's position on the recommended changes.

>> I think that there's been a -- practices have been good and not harmful to us. It's just that they are not -- not cemented by written agreement.

>> that would be correct.

>> so aarp is saying we don't need to cement them, we'll just keep on basically trust us we'll keep doing the right thing. I guess they have done it for one year.

>> yes, sir.

>> I put the item on and I guess I did last year. I just -- it means a whole lot more to them to have their contract than I think for us to make the changes. That's my view. I move that we approve their contract.

>> second.

>> and thank marietta for such diligence and competence.

>> always trying.

>> discussion? And that we authorize the county judge and ms. Bussy to sign their contract. I think what's what they have on there. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you,.

>> thank you very much, do we have that original? My office may have it.

>> I believe we do, judge. If not we will definitely get an original to your office asap.

>> thanks.
