16, authorize the purchasing agent to commence negotiations with the most qualified firm for really brokeries services for the county central campus.

>> yes, sir, last week I presented the item and there was some questions and we made some phone calls and I think the concerns that were voiced have been satisfied. I'll let Commissioner Daugherty answer for himself, but I think we've got our concerns answered and my recommendation is to allow us to begin negotiations with equus corporation.

>> move approval.

>> second.

>> what was your recommendation.

>> to allow me and two other committee members to begin negotiations with equus and the county attorney is going to help us with the contract.

>> we reevaluated the pool and came up with two top firms. Held interviews with those two top firms and came to our conclusion that the highest ranked or most qualified would be equus. It was a tough decision because they are all qualified, but we felt like this team because of their specific experience in the downtown area and some of the projects that they've had to coordinate with city and historical commission and all those folks are the same folks that we're going the need in our process. So we felt they were the most qualified.

>> okay. Thank you.

>> thank you.

>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you.
