Executive Session
We have come to executive session. Finally, ms. Porter says. 31 is receive briefing from county attorney and outside counsel, renee hicks,es entire, regarding the matter of northwest Austin m.u.d. Versus michael b. Mukasey in the united states district court for the district of column. Consultation with attorney exception. 32, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action and/or consider settlement offer regarding gregory ealey, file number 245.806, consultation with attorney. 33, consider and take appropriate action on appraisal method for park properties 1 and 2, lp, and gdf reality investments for the acquisition of land in connection with the balcones canyonlands conservation plan. Real estate and consultation with attorney exceptions. 34, receive briefing from county attorney regarding issues related to contract between Travis County and Austin-Travis County livestock show and claims resulting from the 2008 star of Texas fair and rodeo. Consultation with attorney. And number 35, receive legal briefing on county authority to approve the Travis County health care district's budget and related issues, including real property acquisition. That's the consultation attorney exception to the open meetings act also. We will discuss these items in executive session but will return to open court before taking any action.

I move that we ask the county attorney to -- to prepare an appropriately diplomatic letter in which we indicate the Commissioners court support of the claims raised by the director of the expo center and staff, that we invite the -- the representatives of the Travis County livestock association to negotiate with us, that we highlight the importance and urgency of our ability to deposit $100,000 check which we cannot deposit at this time legally.
our interest is in earning as much interest on that as possible.
that we invite them to -- to attend a meeting with -- with appropriate county representatives.
to discuss this matter as soon as possible.
and that this letter be signed by the county judge on behalf of the Commissioners court.

35, we did discuss that and probably need another legal briefing as well as a review of the appropriate statutes.
two of which escaped my attention and that we get an update from the health care district as to the status of this -- of the clinic and the fight if question and that we have -- the fight in question that we have it back for follow-up consideration and action next week.
