6. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the use of community development block grant funding through the u.s. Department of housing and urban development: a, draft substantial amendment to the program year '06 action plan for posting to receive public comment from June 25, 2008 through July 26, 2008; and b, drafts program year '08 action plan for posting to receive public comment from June 25, 2008 through July 26, 2008.

>> good morning, christie month of rat, Travis County health and human services. Travis County receives community development block grant funds from the u.s. Department of housing and urban development. Annually each year we have to develop an action plan that informs h.u.d. On how Travis County expects to use the allocation received for -- for program year 2008, we are expecting to receive $833,133. On may 27th, then -- then also on June 17th, the court approved the projects for the py '08 action plan. We have created a document that meets all of h.u.d. Requirements and we need to post that for public comment for 30 days, which begins June 25th, going through July 26th. Additionally, staff also reviewed the current action plans and projects that are being implemented. Staff recommended to the court to make a substantial amendment to the program year 2006 action plan. So delete the family support services social work expansion project due to delays in hiring staff and to reprogram that money for the design of the lava lane substandard road project. That document is also included, which outlines the changes and those changes are made, any additions are underlined and any deletions are in strikeout format. We are asking that the court approve these two documents so that we may post them beginning tomorrow through July 22nd. The documents -- through July 26th. The documents will be available at the seven Travis County community centers. Also on the website at www.traviscountytx.gov. They can also call myself at 854-3460 to request a copy and summaries available in english and spanish if you don't want to read all 100 plus pages. So --
