1. Approve proclamation recognizing capital idea for it's 9th annual celebration of achievements and it's 2007 graduates. And I believe there are two people here for capital idea. Did you all want me to read that? Whereas the mission of capital idea is to connect committed yet underemployed participants to leading central Texas employers in need of highly skilled employees, whereas capital idea works to lift families and individuals out of poverty by providing educational programs that lead to both personal and professional development and financial independence. Whereas capital idea is hosting its 9th annual celebration of achievements at the omni Austin hotel at south park. And will honor its 2007 2007 graduates with an elegant evening of dinner and music. Whereas since its inception, capital idea has been very successful in placing graduates in highly competitive positions and workplaces and whereas at this year's gala, capital idea will recognize and honor 95 graduates in a variety of challenging fields. Now therefore be it resolved that we the Travis County Commissioners court do hereby proclaim may 2nd, 2008, as capital idea day in Travis County, Texas and urge all residents to join us in saluting all 2007 graduates. And extending best wishes to capital idea and community supporters and I would move approval.

>> second.

>> well, good morning.

>> good morning.

>> my name is maria emerson, I’m a leader with Austin interfaith and a member of the board of capital idea. We are very proud to receive this recognition on behalf of the 95 candidates that will be graduating. And the other that's have graduated in the past. Thank you very much for the recognition. But I believe that it's a shared recognition because you took the leadership, also, to fund -- help fund part of their success. And on their behalf, I thank you very much. And I hope that you can join us on Friday evening.

>> and I plan to be there.

>> great.

>> Friday evening. Again, I know last year it was -- the last time you all had this for the graduates they were very, very appreciative of the recognition that they got for their hard work. So -- so I’m looking forward to this.

>> thank you.

>> did y'all -- I guess

>> [indiscernible] diploma whatever -- whatever recognition you give them, they will probably have a -- have a job waiting for them as they receive it.

>> yes, sir.

>> that's absolutely right.

>> that's the good thing about it.

>> that's the good thing and that graduation is going to be a $60 million pay off for those families. That will return $20 million to the taxpayers over their working lifetimes. So that's the return on your investment over the years in just this one class. So we thank you very much for your faith and confidence and that initial -- initial investment that's continued and grown over the years.

>> thank you.

>> very good. All those in favor? Unanimous support.

>> thank you all.
