>> 2 Consider and take appropriate action on an order prohibiting outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County

>> we are in what the drought monitor says abnormal. Not severe or extreme. We will get there before the spring is over unless we get some significant rain. My recommendation is we leave the status quo and rely on the state's regulations to regulate our burning.

>> that decision is not made by Travis County only.

>> the fire March shall.

>> I did get two or three e-mails from citizens.

>> actually, all through central Texas, we are in a la nina weather pattern which typically means dryer for central Texas. We expect that to continue. Currently now since we have had two good rains back to back week after week, like I said we are seeing the green up. I don't really expect us to be able to stay out from an outdoor burning ban for very long. I suspect within the next three to four weeks we will be back in here if not sooner, requesting one because we haven't had that much rain.

>> okay. By taking no order we leave the lift in place. So there is no burn in place. And that will continue for at least another week. We'll have it back on the agenda next week in case we need to take action.

>> thank you, sir.
