Citizens communication is first. This item gives residents an opportunity to address the Commissioners court on any matter not on the agenda. For up to three minutes and once citizen signed in, gus pena.

>> good morning, judge. Commissioners, gus pena. My words came prophetically true that Texas will play a pivotal role in selecting the next presidential candidate or the candidate himself or herself. One of the things that I would like to mention is, number one, an interesting article in the newspaper yesterday that says honoring veterans. I知 not going to mention the candidate because I just don't do that, but I do thank the candidate for having the wisdom and vision to call upon the issues about the veterans and the leadership of veterans and fully fund v.a. Medical care, allow all veterans back into the v.a. The one that I really care about, number one is improved mental health treatment for veterans, combat homelessness among other nation's veterans. That's very important. I致e been dealing with this issue both at the city council and county Commissioners court. A lot of us veterans are ill, a lot of us will not go to the medical center, will not go to the montopolis treatment center because of the red tape and the discrimination and some of the hate there is out there. I will tell you this much, folks, vote your conscience, whatever you vote it darned well better be good for the country. We need good leadership for all, not just for some. I will say this much. My dad started me in politics when we worked on john f. Kennedy's presidential campaign, 1959, 1960, right up there, president eisenhower's presidential tour of duty. I also worked on president johnson's campaign. It's very important, folks, to vote your conscience, vote for the best person you think is not giving you bull corn but factual information. The decision that you are going to have a work session this coming Thursday, it is going to be a very important discussion on -- it says discuss adverse impact of recent funding decisions for various social services non-profit agencies. The decision by Travis County united way and their lack of infinite wisdom and our -- our position was very bad because a lot of -- a lot of not profits that helped the poor, the needy, have-nots, less fortunate and homeless will not receive funding because of the new "political correctness", the root of -- the root causes. And it's just another way of saying, you know, there won't be any intervention funding. I hope that we are goings to have a lively discussion. I will be here. I will tell you what about being poor. I have lost my home. We rebounded. It's been a difficult task. The issue is that help is not out there like it should be. You are funding some organization that should not be funded. We should audit these organizations to see who they are helping, who they are not. Spring break next week. Fully fund all -- all youth programs. Make sure that we get them active. Keep them out of gangs, keep them off the streets. I知 working with the federal -- what used to be an i.r.s. Investigator, worked with the atf, f.b.i., d.e.a., like we did and bust the gangs I will wrap up because we need to keep the kids off the streets, educated, not in gangs. Judge, Commissioners thank you very much for your hard work. Thank you for the work session going to be very important. Go out to vote, vote your conscience, god bless you all, have a good day.

>> thank you. Jennifer gale.

>> good morning, Travis County.

>> good morning.

>> good morning.

>> you know what day it is. Honorable judge Sam Biscoe, the leader of Travis County, Texas, u.s.a. Commissioners Margaret Gomez, Gerald Daugherty, sarah he could hard and Ron -- eckhardt and Ron Davis precinct 1. I知 jennifer gale. Today is willie nelson day down atmosphere the charitable star of Texas rodeo. Fair and rodeo of -- it's out at the Travis County expo center. It's on decker lane a mile off of mlk. That should be a lot of fun tonight. This -- fourth day of March. There's a lot of things to talk to you about this morning. We -- we need to build a dividing wall. Where so many accidents are happening out on our highways. The Texas department of transportation, it's a criminal entity. I wish that we could charge them with crimes. But too many people are dying out there. They have no business dying out there. We have the resources to do something about it. So I知 asking you to look into that. I知 also asking for a grand jury investigation on the accident with -- with the honorable gus garcia, mayor of Austin. He ran into a gentleman, didn't even see him there. I think that needs some looking into. I知 asking that we get the bus -- the bus contract over with. For too long we've -- we are looking at nine months now with our bus operators without a contract. Some of them are very an greesm they are not -- angry. They are not -- when someone swears or gets angry on a bus, they are not calling in and getting security like they normally would. They are driving more recklessly, turning corners too hard. I知 asking that we get that -- that we get a resolution from the Travis County Commissioners court telling the capital metro transportation metropolitan authority to get their job done. To give them a good five year contract, cost of living raise, and medical benefits so that it's not coming out of their pocket. So they are not having something else to worry about. I知 asking the people, the 21st congressional district not to vote. I know that you want to go out there and vote for Ron paul, but I知 asking you not to because the democrats and republicans in the state of Texas have told independent candidates, which I became when congressman lloyd doggett and state senator kirk watson contributed to my paying the fee of the $3,125. So please do not vote today. In district 21 congressional. Otherwise everyone get out there and vote, thank you.

>> thank you.

>> thank you.
