>> item no. 4, is to consider and take appropriate action on an order prohibiting outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners, Travis County fire marshal's office. Travis County received a little rain last week, predicted to indicate insufficient rain this week. Two cold fronts are predicted both with high winds and colder temperatures. This will continue to dry us out. We are experiencing extreme fire behavior during these events with flame spreads of 450 feet per minute, approximately five miles an hour and 18-foot flame lengths. These are unprecedented numbers. The present burn ban lasts until the 5th of March, therefore staff recommends that the court take no action and revisit this issue next week. Questions? By taking no action, the order prohibiting outdoor burning stays in effect?

>> yes, judge.

>> thank you very much.

>> yes, sir.
