2. Approve proclamation recognizing February 14, 2008 as "take heart Austin day" in the Austin-Travis County community. Anybody here to receive this one?

It reads: whereas emergency medical services are a vital public service and the Austin Travis County emergency medical services system stands ready to provide life saving care to victims of cardiac arrest, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, whereas the Austin Travis County emergency medical services system consists of paramedics, star flight pilots, flight nurses and medics, communication medics, firefighters, park police, airport police, corporate response -- responders and hundreds of Travis County first responders representing emergency services districts, educators and administrators, whereas access to quality emergency care dramatically improves their survival and recovery from sudden cardiac arrest, whereas this year's take heart Austin is the 6th annual celebration for cardiac arrest survivors, their families and their rescuers and whereas it is appropriate to acknowledge cardiac survivors, their families and their rescuers and to recognize take heart, Austin in this annual celebration, now therefore be it resolved that we the members of the Travis County Commissioners court do hereby proclaim February 14th, 2008, valentine's day, as take heart Austin day in Travis County, Texas and encourage all residents of Travis County to join us in renewing our dedication to the protection and best interests of all. And I move approval.

There will be a ceremony in regards to this on the 14th of which I’ll be attending and it's quite a -- a special time for not only the people who serve us in this capacity as our paramedics and various folks, but also the people that have been receiving that service, so -- so I’ll be attending and look forward to it again. It's a beautiful and very emotional event, very touching time to see -- to see both sides, the people that receive it and those that give it. So thank you very much for this.
