Anybody here on 9?

>>

>> [inaudible - no mic].

>> I want to make sure I knew what goib on on that one. Approve modification number 2 to contract number cm 060301 lc, advanced safety inc., for the purchase and maintenance of e citation software. The backup indicate that had we are saving a certain amount of money because of -- that's true, right?

>> yes. We're decreasing the contract amount by $52,000, yes.

>> the reason for that is?

>> the original plan called for licenses and software that don't meet the dps security requirements is my understanding. And so the sheriff's office and its has determined to just take that part off of the contract.

>> okay. I guess what kind of threw me off was in the purchase order that the purchasing agent and the county judge sign if authorized by the court. Number two there has different percentages. I was not able to understand those.

>> what this is telling you is that of the remaining $61,000 left on the contract, we've paid 86% already. We only have a remainder of 14 percent left, $9,600. And david from its has just stepped in. He has a lot more information than I do.

>> where does the $52,000 fit in all of that? That was the part I couldn't --

>> your question?

>> I’m trying to figure out how the 52,000 is reconciled with the other information given in point number 2 or should I not try to reconcile it?

>> I’m david from its. I took over this project kind of mid stream, but in an accounting sheet that we did about three or four weeks ago, we found out that one part of the project -- the original project was about $123,000. One part of the project could not be satisfied, so we asked the vendor to remove that from the overall quote. That took $63,000 out of the overall price, but there was also a discount in there, so we lost 11,000 of that. So from the original monies that we have paid, about $63,000. There was 52,000 initially paid and after we took the part that they couldn't satisfy out, it left us 9,600-dollar figure left.

>> this is to do the warrant checks with a hand-held device. They decided it's not worth the cost and will do it through the mobile computers they have. Soirks when it's all said and done we will have 52 '52 thousand dlashz.

>> it's -- $52,000.

>> it's in a grant. It's money that was not put to this use.

>> from what I have, it would be a decrease, but the decrease would end up being about -- in other words, money that we keep in-house a little more than 9,000 $9,000. $9,600, which is the difference between what we were get fog it and what we're dealing with now.

>> the $9,614 is after we take the part off that we didn't receive from the vendor. That is what we still owe the vendor.

>> we still owe that amount?

>> yes, sir. As opposed to owing them $62,000, we now owe them $7,600. -- $9,600.

>> okay. So the difference between those two would be the $9,614.

>> yes, sir.

>> not the difference. Not an increase.

>> thank you.

>> any more discussion? That passes by unanimous vote.
