3 is to consider and take appropriate action on an order prohibiting outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.
>> good morning, pete baldwin, emergency management coordinator. We had this meeting yesterday afternoon and I would have recommended we lift the outdoor burning ban just based upon current conditions.ni we've got another front coming in on Thursday. I have checked with all of our counties around us. Hays county is the only one with an active burn ban in place at this stage of the game. Si have a feeling after the -- I have a feeling after the 2,000-acre burning in hays county they will be putting theirs back on quickly. It is on for next week and I recommend we leave it on and review it at that point in time.

>> 5th. The current order goes through the 6th.
>> okay.
>> I will submit a new order in case we need to extend it.
>> so if you burn outdoors, you're doing so illegally unless you are using a covered container designed to --
>> contain all sparks and flames. But this afternoon I wouldn't even recommend that with the winds that we're fixing to get in here. They are talking about winds up toward in the neighborhood of 40 to 50 miles per hour gusts this afternoon.
>> that word of caution comes from the Travis County emergency services manager.
