2. Consider and take appropriate action on an order prohibiting outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County. Should I get my umbrella to discuss this item.

>> pete baldwin, Travis County emergency management. I’m afraid this time, judge, we didn't get quite enough umph behind it. The rain is moving to the north of us, georgetown, Round Rock are getting a lot. We may get a few sprinkles, but certainly not enough to lessen the fire danger. Before you you have a -- an order which prohibits outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas and is good for 30 days. I would request that if you consider approving this that we keep this on every week in the event that we do get some rain and we will revisit it every week if necessary.

>> move approval.

>> second.

>> so the rain we got last night and this morning while appreciated is insufficient.

>> it is insufficient. In fact what is happening right now is by late this afternoon or by early this afternoon we will get a wind shift coming in from the northwest which will completely dry us out. Any of that moisture that's been absorbed by the grasses considered to be the fine fuels will be dried out and we will return back to the original conditions we have been in over the past week or so.

>> okay. Those with questions regarding the prohibition against outdoor burning may call.

>> let me get that phone number for you, 854-6472. That is the fire marshal's office. They will have someone there that will be able to do that at all times.

>> okay.

>> any more discussion of the motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We will have it on next week just in case we get a whole lot more rain than anticipated.

>> we would appreciate it.

>> thank you.
