Travis County Commissioners Court

Executive Session
31, the order authorizing publication of notice of intent to issue certificates of obligation into executive session, under the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. I think we do need to get advice on. Therefore, let's announce at this time our intention to take 31, the order authorizing publication of notice of intent to issue certificates of obligation into executive session, under the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. In addition, to that item we will discuss 42, consider and take appropriate action on request to lease or sell county owned land adjacent to the community justice center, consultation with attorney and real property exceptions. 43, receive briefing from the county attorney regarding mara villa development, primmera homes, in cardinal hills estate unit 15 and the status of the bond from the hartford, including consideration of an agreement, and take appropriate action. Consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. And final item we'll discuss in executive session is 44, receive briefing from the county attorney regarding the pending litigation in Travis County, Texas, and state of Texas versus cold water development limited and rodman excavation incorporated, and take appropriate action. Consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act also.
we have returned from executive session. We got the legal briefing. A couple issues that need to be worked through. No action required in my view. We'll have it back on the January 2, 2008 agenda. Okay. We also, we cannot discuss number 42, further work needs to be done on that one am we'll have it back on the agenda January 2. Legal is working through those issues and will be able to give us a final opinion on January 2. John hille, chief opinion giver says. 43, the matter involving the hartford fund and the mara villa development, we have previously directed staff to hire an appropriate consultant with a budget of up to $20,000 and I understand they negotiated that amount with an appropriate consultant. So let's direct that our purchasing agent be authorized to sign that contract so it does not have to come back to court.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. You're purchasing agent has always worked with us in the past. We'll treat that as a christmas present to her. 44, the matter involving the lawsuit against cold water development and rodman excavation incorporated, the hamilton pool matter. We did get a briefing on that. In my view no action required on that today. That will be brought back to us if we need to take action in the near fute. With that, that does it--near future. With that, that does it.
>> move adjourn.
>> all in favor. That passes by unanimous vote. See all of y'all tomorrow afternoon at 1:30..
