Northwest Road District #3
Good afternoon, let's call to order the northwest Travis County road triangle) we do expect director eckhardt to arrive momentarily. We have three fairly simple straightforward item. The first of which is to 1. Approve payment of claims and authorize county treasurer to invest road district funds. We have investments but no claims.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. 2. Approve northwest Travis County road district #3 minutes for voting sessions of October 16, October 30 and November 6, 2007.

Consider and take appropriate action on request to set a public hearing on December 4, 2007 to receive public input and take action on Travis County electing to impose the ad valorem tax on goods-in-transit as defined in Texas tax code section 11.253 (a)(2) and to deny the exemption from ad valorem taxation on such goods-in-transit as provided in Texas tax code section 11.253(b) effective for tax years 2008 and following. And I understand that if we do nothing, this taxings away. So -- so tax goes away so we have to reaffirm our intention to propose it. This simply sets a public hearing.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. I guess we can schedule the public hearing for 1:30, we have set one for the Commissioners court at 9:00. But even when we have them on the same item, we have them at separate times. Maybe there's merit to having it at 9:00, too, for both of them.

>> why don't we do that then. We will call to order this road district and then recess it until 1:30 to finish the other business if there is other business. Is that okay?

>> so the motion is to put the public hearing on December 4th, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. We didn't have the time in the item.

>> and any problem with that? We will just include that in the motion that we just passed unanimously.
