Number 1 is a public hearing to receive comments on total vacation and cancellation of a plat in precinct 2, hodde subdivision, one total lot.

>> move the public hearing be open.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> joe geiselman with transportation and natural resource division. The hodde subdivision was a little over an acre, approved in 1984. The owner is asking it be totally vacated. It's being assembled with another tract next to it and replatted as gaddis, a 18-acre subdivision. All property owners have been notified and it does meet Travis County guidelines for subdivision and we recommend approval. I know of no objection to the proposed action.

>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing? If so, come forward.

>> I have a couple of questions just to clarify. I’m sorry, when was the subdivision platted? When was the application?

>> the original one was in 1984.

>> 1984, and nothing has happened on it since then?

>> it was a single resident at the time, yes.

>> okay. Do we have any mechanism for going back through and see if subdivision plats have expired because of failure to act on them?

>> this was a final plat.

>> oh, because they --

>> it is forever.

>> because they completed one. Got it. So they are just -- they are vacating the rest?

>> it was approved in '84. It's an official subdivision. They are coming in and just basically erasing it so it no longer exists as a subdivision. And then they are coming in and assembling some additional property and then going right back to the replatting process.

>> but even after they get a final, if they don't develop, does the final stay in place?

>> yes.

>> do they have to actually build on one of the plats.

>> no.

>> in order to lock it in?

>> no, we have sub that have existed 40 years throughout the county that have never been developed, or sections of subdivisions that have never been developed.

>> okay. Okay.

>> we're canceling the one lot subdivision. It will then become part of a seven-lot subdivision.

>> that's correct.

>> and in action item 22, although there are multiple parts, it's really those two simple things.

>> yes.

>> it will be recommended for consent today.

>> I don't believe I received backup on it.

>> that's the one I e-mailed you.

>> do we need more time?

>> it sounds like a pretty straight-ahead deal.

>> based on the backup, it is. Last night I applauded t.n.r. For being so brief and to the point this time.

>> okay.

>> move the public hearing be closed. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
