Now let's call to order the Travis County health facilities development corporation. Consider and take appropriate action on wellness fair, 20-k run and 5-k run at Travis County exposition center on December 2, 2007. There is a similar item on the agenda for the Travis County Commissioners court to consider later today.

>> judge, Commissioners, it's that time again that we're asking for some approval to conduct our wellness fair and our 5-k on December 2nd. We're asking approval of the wellness fair to be held on December 2nd, approval of up to $2,400 in expense from the wellness budget, which is in the health facilities development corporation. And $2,400 -- 1400 will go to the expo center where the fair will be held and the race also held there on the grounds as well as around some of the community in the

>> [inaudible] areas. Authorize wellness committee to solicit vendors and sponsors to participate in the wellness affair and approve up to 5,000 registration forms, flyers and sponsor packets to promote our 5-k. We would also like to hang banners as we've done in the past on county buildings, and I think we're really asking to do that sometime in early November.

>> now, that's the one I did have some questions about. We have authorized the hanging of banners upon county buildings.

>> yes, sir. Promoting the 5-k race.

>> but where on the building do you put them?

>>

>> [inaudible].

>> like bulletin board --

>> outside the building. Across the entrance door.

>> you've seen them draped, you know, there before as you are coming in --

>> haven't gotten any complaints other than from our county judge before?

>> no, sir.

>> well, maybe it's

>> [inaudible]. If it ain't broke, I guess don't fix it.

>> because we even had a -- you know, we were asked this, you know, a couple three years ago we had a policy about we could do it on our buildings because people wanted to come up and put some of those kind of drapings, if you would, on our buildings. And I remember that we discussed it.

>> that's why I --

>> I know we requested this in the past.

>> yeah, this will be the third year. Every year.

>> and for taxpayers, the happy, healthy employees are more productive employees, right?

>> absolutely.

>> the corporation has assisted in this matter in the past.

>> yes, sir.

>> so we're asking for the budget as well as some of the other things that the corporation can do. And some of these the county has to take up. But I move we approve all of the requests that the corporation may grant including the money. Discussion? That's $2,400 -- what has it been in the past?

>> that's the same budget we've had in the past, and $1,400 of it goes in the expo center for use of the facility, and the other is contingency.

>> okay. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>>

>> [inaudible].

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote too. In just a minute we'll call up this same item in the voting session of Commissioners court, okay?
