18 is approve contract and he ward for professional drug testing services, r.f.q. Number q 070292 ml to armstrong forensic laboratory, incorporated. We approved the budget transfer of $100,000 to fund this, and we were asked to bring this up for discussion.

>> you need to approve the contract award for the professional drug testing with armstrong forensics. This, of course, is in response to the backlog that we had because of a.p.d.'s rocket dkt and not having enough staff. So we put this out for them to try to get us to -- for them to test all of our backlogged cases, and we anticipate that it's going to cost us less than the $100,000. We are estimating more around $85,000. So that -- that's what we're asking you to do is approve that. And we understand that the turn-around time should be within a month. As soon as we get these and once you approve this, we have procedures in place to get these things picked up and delivered and tested within a month.

>> so we have how many ready to send?

>> claire and deborah are working on that, but I'm thinking roughly 300 cases next week and those are going to be jail cases.

>> move we award the contract to armstrong forensic laboratory.

>> second.

>> discussion?

>> obviously this is no problem because the first one we considered didn't pass muster with a.p.d.

>> right. They weren't accredited.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Commissioner eckhardt temporarily off the dais.

>> your honor, could I have the record reflect my affirmative vote on 18?

>> without objection. The record will reflect affirmative vote on that item by Commissioner eckhardt.
