Number 18 is to approve contract for hoist training from rega from star flight rescue instructions.

>> good morning, sue brown, county purchasing agent. I asked this be pulled off consent because we are not quite ready for it to be approved. It's not just a simple contract. Back when we bought our two helicopters the court also approved the purchase of rescue roists and the modifications to the helicopters have been made and so now the star flight crew is ready to receive training. The training on this was difficult for them to find because these helicopters are not that common here in the u.s, so what they had to do, they did think this was some opportunities in the states but they couldn't find it. The folks that do have these helicopters didn't think they had the experience to train our folks. So what we are asking is the court to approve us to purchase this training at a not to exceed amount of $25,000. We are still working with the county attorneys and risk management on an insurance requirement. Also, there was, because it's an international company, there are certain irs requirements and documents that the auditor had to have. We have gotten those, and what I'm basically waiting for, to sign the contract or ask you to sign the contract is also confirmation from the company that they understand our insurance requirements and the irs requirements that we are going to have to do. So basically, we're recommending that the court approve this training for our star flight group, but I just wanted you to understand, I'm not quite comfortable yet with signing the contract. I will be this afternoon, hopefully when I get confirmation from that company. So I would ask respectfully that you approve the recommendation and then once me and the county attorney's are comfortable with the terms and conditions and sign off with the auditor and risk management that you authorize me to sign that contract.

>> motion to approve to work out the insurance requirements satisfactory with the county attorneys ?

>> and risk management.

>> purchasing.

>> so move.

>> that was my motion.

>> the company we have selected to do the rescue training would put us at the level where we need to be in doing this, and we would like for you to, respectfully request that you approve this contract.

>> and it is --

>> you are asking us to approve with conditions ?

>> with the conditions stated by purchasing.

>> as soon as, I have confirmation and everybody sign off on the terms and conditions, the auditor, risk manage the, the attorney and myself.

>> I'll retract my motion.

>> I was teasing. That's perfectly fine.

>> all in favor. That passes by unanimous vote with Commissioner Davis temporarily off the dias.

>> thank you all very much.

>> show Commissioner Davis in support.
