12. Consider and take appropriate action on the u. S. Department of housing and urban development's certification of exemption for the community development block grant: a, program year 2006 family support services social work services on expansion project; b, program year 2006 apache shores substandard road street improvement design and engineering services; c, request to authorize the county judge to sign the certifications; and d, other related items.

>> good morning, christie moffett Travis County health and human services. The

>> [indiscernible] department of

>> [indiscernible] block grant dollars to Travis County. For each project that we do, h.u.d. Require that's we determine a level of environmental review. There are four. And fortunately some of our activities come under exempt. So for us to be able to request reimbursement for dollars expended on exempt projects, we have to come before you and request that you certify that those activities are exempt, request -- request an authorizing or certificate an official to sign those documents prior to expending of any collars related to those exempt activities. So today what we are requesting is -- is on the -- on the backup that you have, there's a h.u.d. Prescribed form that clearly articulates 24 cfr part 58.34, of subsection a, that identifies all of the different activities that are exempt. And in there, number 4 is public services which is what the family support services, social work expansion project falls under, then on number -- on number 8, also the t.n.r. Project for apache shores, the design service goes and engineering services are considered exempt activities. Those are considered exempt because there's actually no physical impact to the environment occurring. And so we are requesting that you approve that, authorize the judge to sign these forms sorks that we can move forward with the hiring of the social work staff and moving forward with the procurement of a design contract.

>> so items 4 and 8 are the one that's we are requesting exemptions for?

>> correct.

>> and so we file a separate certification for --

>> for each.

>> for each of them.

>> and the amount of the design and engineering services for apache shores out of a $300,000 budget is around $65,000.

>> questions? Move approval.

>> any discussion of the motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Anything else today?

>> no. Other than we will come back to you after we have discussed with t.n.r. And also the county attorney's office a more formalized process to come forward with you, with these environmental reviews.

>> okay.

>> okay. Thanks.

>> thank you very much. And -- and can we have these back on next week? Do we?

>> okay.

>>

>> [indiscernible]

>> all right. Thanks.
