Item 6

Number be 6 is to consider and take appropriate action on agreement with hornsby bend water utility company for plainview estates neighborhood.

>> I wanted to make sure that staff and the contract, after reviewing it, everything looked good as far as what the county's participation is in the project, as well as with the hornsby bend company as far as what they're going to do to provide water to the plainview estate residents. But my question, though, is how will we be able to look at this process as they are installing the line. And of course the hookups and all this stuff that take place with that, how are we able to know and keep track of the project itself? Do we monitor to see -- joe, do we monitor to see and also inspect the lines and the hookups.

>> because they're in our right-of-way we would inspect them like any other infrastructure. And we are certainly a party to this contract, so we have a fiduciary responsibility to make sure our money is spent. We have reviewed the plans.

>> I guess my question, though, is whenever all of these things take place, it would be good I think to keep the court posted on the process as this contract unfolds and go forward for the plainview estate residents to acquire water services from the hornsby bend utility company. I have no problem with it. The only thing is that I want to make sure that we are kept in the loop, the court is kept in the loop on the process. So that's basically my concern. I would like to move approval. I second that. Okay. Move approval.

>> second. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you, staff, county attorney, thank y'all. Thank this court.
