Item 37

Now, on item 37, we promised sometime ago to put that back on the court's agenda at the appropriate time, and we may have hinted toward the end of the slat slative ive--legislative session. We are to that point may staff gave me copies of minutes from the last meeting, which I will give to you for your review for next week. Hopefully, what I have, what this item does today is simply push this back on our radar. I think next week, what we ought to decide first is whether we want to fill a position like this, and if so, if we can discuss next week too exactly how we would do the job description posting, et cetera. Okay. If the rest of the court is kind of like me, this sort of has been on the back burner for several weeks now now. Looks like our previous commitment was really to ms. Gasser through June. Looks like we took that action in November of '06. Looks like my staff also did a pretty good job of picking up my notes, which I was hoping would remain private. In the spirit of open government.

>> there are private things around.

>> basically review what we have with each other and then it will be on next week week's agenda? Is that what you are suggesting sm.

>> yes, sir.

>> -- two things, whether we want to full a position similar to this. The second thing, is the answer is yes, exactly how would we word the posting, job description, et cetera. We talked about as many as one or two components, as many as four or five, and as few as one or two. So we need to land that exactly what would this person do.

>> okay.

>> and--

>> I notice some pr component, stuff like that.

>> yeah, sort of governmental interlocal agreement.

>> right.

>> governmental liaison.

>> right.

>> I guess if we think of sort of major areas, if we could generate a couple sentences that sort of describe duties, responsibilities, we would probably help facilitate our discussion.

>> all right.

>> anything else on this item? Okay. We'll have it back on next week, which is June 5, ms. Porter says.
