Travis County Commissioners Court
May 29, 2007
Item 1
Number one is a public hearing to receive comments regarding a request to authorize the filing of an instrument to vacate a portion of hartshill drive within the long canyon 1-a subdivision, in precinct 3.
>> move that the public hearing be opened.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes nab unanimously.
>> good morning, joe gieselman with the transportation natural resources department. It's my understanding that hartshill drive is basically a stub street to the city of Austin, balcones canyonland preserves property. The city consulted about the proposed vacation indication, has no problem with it, as long as the city staff has ingress, egress after the vacation, I understand the property owner is willing to do that. Otherwise it meets the requirements of the county for vacation. I personally don't know of any objection to it, but I understand there are folks here this morning to testify.
>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing, item no. 1. Involving hartshill drive. If so, please come forward.
>> mqhc. .
>> >
>> [inaudible - no mic]
>> come on up to the table.
>> do you know that?
>> I will have anna come over.
>> we will know take action on -- we will not take action on that item until we know that you have gotten your questions answered, okay. Let's try to answer those questions, if they have been resolved to your satisfaction today, fine, if not, we will just postpone action and await further word and another person had questions about the same item? No. Anybody else here on this item?
>> move to close the public hearing.
>> second.
>> okay. We will postpone the action item no. 21 for the time being and decide later today whether to take action or not based on the report back from the discussion.
>> that's fine.
>> okay. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Somebody is coming over on that item to answer questions.
>> yes.
>> and you will let her know when they get here.
>> we will gather in the back room and get everything done.
>> okay.
