A 2 is to approve exemption order and contract award for the purchase of a chiller motor from johnson controls, inc, from the competitive procurement process pursuant to section 262.024 a 3 of the county purchasing act. I just thought we should get on record why we want to exempt this. And there are three specific reasons set forth in the backup.

>> since you are here, do you want to state those reasons for us.
>> yez, sid grimes, Travis County purchasing . We had some damage, a broken water pipe at the golf complex which has resulted of the chilling of the motor in the starter assembly. So we are without water over there, which will mess up the temperatures and we starting to get into the summer, start to go get hot. So this is emergency. We need to get it fixed. We think it's going to cost us $35,140.
>> okay. This says that the motor and starter assembly are proprietary items available only from johnson controls international. Right? These will result in our inability to maintain comfortable temperatures in the cjc building and Travis County jail unless we fix this problem.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> all in favor. That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you very much. Otherwise we have competed for this $30,000 opportunity with Travis County.
>> yes. We will safe a lot of time getting that fixed.
>> all right. Any legal item here? No. You were just down enjoying the court's work today?
