Travis County Commissioners Court
May 15, 2007
Item 28
I don't know that we need, any issues on 28, we did have two, volunteering to take advantage of this opportunity last week, consider and take appropriate action on request from city of Austin to appoint a Travis County representative to the downtown Austin plan technical advisory committee. The question that surfaced really was whether we need a technical person or just a Travis County resident interested in working on this. The answer I got was they would prefer a technical person. >> judge. >> yes, sir. >> I'm going to tell you, there are two people who really wanted to be, I mean, on this. >> okay. >> Carl Bond, and I know Belinda was somebody. >> Belinda Powell. >> belinda powell. My office called jim roberts at the city of Austin and asked could we have two, and they said sure. It would be my recommendation that we have both of these people because we have, belinda has the technical experience. Charles livings downtown is highly involved and very interested in being part of this. The city said that would be great for us. So I would recommend that we put both belinda and charles. >> I second that. >> sounds good to me too. Anymore discussion on the motion? We will teach them about volunteering. All in favor. That passes by unanimous vote.
