Citizens communication is next. And this gives residents an opportunity to address the Commissioners court on any matter not on the agenda. And gus pena is the lone citizen who has signed in.

>> the lone ranger, stranger. Good morning, judge, Commissioners, gus pena.

>> good morning.

>> I'm going to do this real quickly because I have several items that I need to talk to you. Funding for non-profits that build affordable housing, in their opinion. A lot of people in the community have asked that -- when the county or the city provides funding for these entities that are providing transitional housing to ensure that these non-profits do in fact set aside units for homeless families and not just sro's, single room occupy panes, seeing a lot of sr o's built with Travis County and single funding, not enough units set aside for single family, so fyi. Commissioner Gomez I have been travelling frequently actually william cannon and mess san antonio valley intersection, right near the new bridge over onion creek, take a lot of kids to their homes in that area. Excuse me. Every time that it rains, there's not enough lighting there, excuse me, and I don't know that, but even if it doesn't rain, when you make a turn off of -- off of pleasant valley going eastbound on william cannon, a lot of people without the lighting there have -- veer to the right, that's down to the old onion creek bridge. So I'm requesting the city of Austin also look into it to see if they can put more lighting in that area. It's horrendous. I myself nearly drove off, also, I'm a pretty darned good driver --

>> get in touch with them as well now that it's been annexed.

>> thank you for that. That will ensure a lot of people do not have accidents out there. Thanks for that. Excuse me. Veterans that are returning for iraq and afghanistan disabled are in danger of losing their homes. Due to repossession or whatever, foreclosure. I think that we all owe these veterans and other veterans some assistance, I don't know what the county can do and the city can do. If we can have some sort of packet information -- informational packet for the veterans returning back to the Travis County and city of Austin to let them know the programs that are out there, that would be beneficial to them, also. It's not good to have veterans that risk their life in defense of our country lose their homes. Tyc issues, as it relates to the Travis County budget and impact. It's going to -- going to have a heavy impact on Travis County and the city of Austin because of all of the things that have happened out there, it's not allegations. It's factual information and I just spoke to another individual, I will just name his son, jamie, he's no longer a minor, Austin Travis County advocate program for gartner bets working -- gardner-betts, working with the youth. It's going to be a big problem. I would like you all to see what kind of impact it's going to be having on our budgets. That's it for me. When are you all going to hear item no. 11? That's regarding the contract for -- for summer youth programs?

>> to be honest I planned to ask for a postponement of that item because both of the people that we need to talk to are out.

>> all righty.

>> the county added money to that. We are doing more kids from 600 to 750.

>> yes, sir.

>> however, what I don't understand is how the total amount of money sort of goes down. Because the funding working relationship with the city of Austin, so I need staff to explain that to me.

>> right.

>> and explain it to the community, also. I have the backup here. I'm a former i.r.s. Investigator, this is mind boggling. I would ask that it really would be explanatory or explainable to the community, also, keep up the good work. That's a good increase in kids.

>> unless there's a problem with that. I told ms. Flemming that I thought that we would put it on consent but I had not seen the backup at that time.

>> I believe it's the f.t.e.'s can add to the interlocal. It appears that our contribution is going down but it's not.

>> okay.

>> the number of kids increases from 600 --

>> thank god, thank you all for that, also, the city of Austin. The many more kids we get in there. Right on. Thank you all very much, god bless you.

>> thank you for keeping an eye on it.

>> thank you very much. My mom said keep up the good work. She's in your precinct, by the way.

>> anybody else for citizens communication?
