>> item number 23 a is to review and approval request regarding grant proposals, applications, contracts and permissions to continue. 8 is rent application to the corporation for national and community service through the one-star foundation for amer corps members to support the activities for capital program through health and human services and veterans services.

>> this is my ongoing question. I'm looking at the grant summary sheet. My hope is that we get to a place where the summary sheets are something that are useful thumb nails that we can look at over time. The reason I brought this up under performance measures there are two separate slots slots. One for applicable department measures and one for measures for the grant. We at the county are good because the grant tells us what the measures are but we haven't been great at putting down our own performance measures for the program to which the grant applies. And I read in the backup that this 4 h capital program would continue whether or not we had amer corps involvement so I am wondering what are applicable department measures for that 4-h capital program.

>> sherry flemming, executive manager for health and human services. Commissioner eckhardt, we can get you those americans. We have the appropriate county documents that document them, the metches for 4-h capital separate and apart from this grant program. If I am responding to you properly.

>> yes, you are. What I am requesting is that when these things come through, it would be great to be able to see in our grant summary sheets what our county department performance measures are, how we are measuring ourselves in comparison to how the grants are measuring our performance with their money. I think that would be intensely use to us on an on ongoing--useful to us on an ongoing basis and would provide a level of discipline for us as we consider these grants proposals. This is the easy kind of way to look at our own way of measuring our performance, a venue in which we are getting what looks like free monies but my hope is through this process, we'll become better at developing our performance performance measures and staying disciplined about it as we see how americorps is measuring our performance and look at how we measure, we may come to the realization that they have better performance measures or that our measures are superior. I think that kind of comparison would be fruitful to us. Certainly fruitful to me, looking at what happens when americorps goes away. It would make me better at measuring how important the americorps grant is to us in knowing how it affects our ability to perform.

>> move approval.

>> second did.

>> anymore decision? You will get that information to us ?

>> yes, sir.

>> I appreciate it.

>> all in fair. That passes by unanimous vote. Move that we recess until 1: 1:30. All in favor. That passes unanimously
