Executive Session Items
Now, that does bring us to executive session, doesn't it, ms. Porter? We have been asked by the county attorney to postpone tun number 32 until next week, and that's the matter involving the richard james mizell versus Travis County matter. 30 is to conduct interviews and take appropriate action regarding the hiring of executive manager for Travis County emergency services. This is post under the personnel matters exception to the open meetings act. 31, consider update and purchase awferdz received for property at 6701 burnet road and take appropriate action. That's the real estate exception to the open meetings act. 33 -- we skipped 32. 33, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in sarah carpenter pineda versus margot frasier, et al, consultation with attorney exception. 34, discuss security committee recommendations and issues. That's under the security exception to the open meetings act. 35, receive legal briefing and take appropriate action on proposed interlocal cooperation agreement with city of Austin and public health and human services. There will be some question there about what we can discuss in executive session, what in open court. We'll follow our lelg legal counsel on that one. That's posted under the consultation with attorney compensation. 36, receive update on chief administrative officer position in medical examiner's office and take proant action. That's under the personnel exception and also consultation with attorney just in case there are a couple of legal questions on 36. We'll discuss those matters in executive session, but come back to open court before taking any action.
we have returned from executive session. Commissioner Daugherty had to run to another commitment and will miss the rest of the meeting. Number 30 involves the hiring of executive manager for Travis County emergency services. I move that we authorize the county judge to negotiate terms and conditions of employment, wand the short listed candidates, and report fwookt the Commissioners court next week.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. 31 involves the offers to purchase county property at 6701 burnet road and take appropriate action. Move that we substitute Commissioner eckhardt for Commissioner Sonleitner on the Travis County subcommittee that she serve with Commissioner Daugherty and that the two of them get with our consultant and if possible our facilities director, roger, and meet with the nearby neighborhood associations or representatives from them, officers, to discuss the four tracts of land that we are -- not four tracts of known, but four proposals from the firms that we are looking at at this time to get neighborhood input.
>> second.
>> and report back to us as soon as possible after that meeting. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We did not discuss 32. It has been postponed and will be back on the court's agenda next week. 33 involves sarah car carpenter pineda veshses margot frasier, an item we've had on the agenda a few times in the past. Move that we approve the proposed amendment to the agreement and authorize the county judge to sign on behalf of the Commissioners court.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor. 34 involved security committee recommendations. I move that we approve the two recommendations, one of which is --
>> can we approve them without take appropriate action being listed?
>> we are not supposed to. Yeah. We'll have it back on next week. I didn't really catch that. Good point. Thank you very much. We'll have that -- have number 34 back on.
>>
>> [inaudible - no mic].
>> may as well.
>> have the whole gamut.
>> ones that are recommended in the backup makes sense to me, have them back on next week. So that way we don't lose a week, right? 35 involves the interlocal with the city of Austin for public health and human services. We did get legal advice. We will need this item back on the court's agenda next week for follow-up legal advice. In my view no action required today. 36, the matter involving the medical examiner's office, we did give some directions on personnel, follow-up personnel discussions. We'll have this matter back on the court's agenda next week. For court action. The advice was -- the directions was basically for executive manager alicia perez to chat with our medical examiner --
>> and provide more additional information before we made a decision. Just so it was understood that the directions were to provide more information to you so that you could make a decision.
>> right.
>> that will happen next week. Thank you. There is no business before the court today --
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
