Item 16

View captioned video.

Number 16 is to consider and take appropriate action on amendment, transfer and discussion items. By the way, if for some reason we cannot postpone two, then I guess we'll have to try to squeeze two in today.

>> I think two of them are real fast.

>>

>> [inaudible - no mic]. Item a-1 which was related to the pharmaceutical services contract, we're asking you to change the transfer of this on the agenda to $44,000 to $223,000 from the reserve. That will leave $15,000 in the pharmaceutical reserve. The reason for the change is I found out subsequent to the 44,000-dollar amendment that's on the agenda to -- that the contract negotiation, instead of being $24,000 a month, which is what it was, was up to $29,000. I understand that was the amount that was originally proposed by utmhb, but they discounted it a little for two months. And the contract requires it to be extended to the end of September of the fiscal year. Taking that into account, the necessary amount for the encumbrance to be reported on the contract, needs to be $233,000. This does not mean that you are committed to utmhb for the end of the year. I may need some help from the purchasing folks that there is a possibility of a contract cancellation or notice of some sort, so the flexibility that you desire for reviewing, possibly staying in-house with staff versus going with uthb or whaf, does not go away with this change. The amount that's being transferred if you wish to go another route can be reallocated within the sheriff's budget along with the $15,000 to be left in the rsh. There is a possibility that the amount that will be required this year for pharmaceutical service will be a little bit more than the 348 that was originally in the two pieces, the reserve and the budget; however, the sheriff's office has indicate that had they will take care of any overage related to this. And with that if you have any questions, all the other items --

>> the only difference is instead of 24,000 a month it goes to --

>> $29,000 a month beginning in January.

>> okay. Questions? Move approval.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> was this a vote on all the of the amendments?

>> move approval of the rest.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you.
