2. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the prohibition of outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County and related matters.
>> judge, from the Travis County fire marshal's office, we have been blessed with significant rain this past book, we do anticipate more this weekend. The fire chiefs have been polled and asked to lift the ban. Therefore staff requests that the court lift their order of 26 September.
>> not only have we gotten quite a bit of rain, but more rain is on the way I hear.
>> I didn't put this on consent because a handful of residents have been looking at this weekly, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to burn outdoors, they say.
>> yes, sir.
>> [indiscernible]
>> right.
>> just as a point of fact, we received over 40 phone calls, for just today. There is a need out there, people have been very find and patient to work with us, we certainly don't want to get into a non-compliance issue.
>> do we need a motion to actually lift it.
>> we do.
>> I would so move.
>> motion and second to lift the outstanding ban against outdoor burning to allow our residents to burn. Still burn safely, though, right?
>> yes, sir.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
