Road District #3
Good afternoon. Let's call to order the northwest road district number three, otherwise known as the golden triangle. We do not need item number one as there are no investments and no claims. Tim number 2 is to consider and take appropriate action on request to adopt order setting the road district tax rate for the year beginning January 1st, 2006.
>> in August the road district board of directors approved a proposed budget. Nothing has changed since that time. The budget is contained in your backup. You have an order adopting the tax rate of 13 cents. Which is the soul debt service tax rate for the road district. And reduces the vast majority of the revenue in order to pay the debt service.
>> 13 cents.
>> that's correct.
>> is this a decrease or increase?
>> it's a decrease in the tax rate.
>> judge, I move approval of .13 as the tax rate for northwest Travis County road district number 3?
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number three is to consider and take appropriate action on request to adopt order approving the road district budget for fy '07.
>> and that tax rate generates current taxes of just over $600,000. The road district has a beginning fund balance of just over 400,000. The revenue and expenditures are very close to one another. There will be slightly more revenue than expenditures. And your budget is contained on one page in your backup to the budget order.
>> judge, I move approval of the recommended budget for '07.
>> and this amount is used to retire debt basically.
>> that's correct.
>> discussion? All in favor? Nan. That passes by unanimous vote.
