>> second.
>> good morning judge Biscoe and Commissioners. I'm charles williams, conservation coordinator with tnr ainld like to talk about the energy star. First of all, Travis County is a very proactive and energy conservation. I think we all understand that. We've changed out the bulbs. We've also gone through all the facilities and we changed the incandescent lights to led's and this was for all the exit lights and traffic lights. We've changed out all the motors and their handlers and air conditioners to more energy efficient motors. We are proactive. Travis County being a lead organization we are now challenging our employees and the citizens of Travis County to make a difference in change just one incandescent fwlowb one cfl, which is a compact fluorescent bulb. A 60 watt bulb takes 60 watts to drive this bulb for its light. This fluorescent light takes 13 watts. They bring out the same light on the table. And that's a tremendous savings in energy: they also last 10 times longer than the older bulb and they put out a softer glow and not sufb a bright, eye affecting light. We hope that each employee, each participant changes these bulbs, then they see the difference in them and they want to change more, furthering the energy savings. Our pledge is one thousand and I hope we do many more than that. The judge stated what the one thousand will bring about, 290 kill low watt hours of energy and 46 pounds of greenhouse gas and that's per the life of the bulb. To make this pledge go to the website shown on the table or go to the Travis County website and look at energy as far. We have links on both places and it will take to you the website go Travis County, sign up as a pledge and be a pledge driver. The drive kicks off October the fourth, which is change a light day, and will end November the 15th, which is Texas recycles day. We'll announce the number be of pledges and how we did in energy savings on that day.
>> this is for Travis County residents?
>> Travis County drenz and employees.
>> for those who can't see it, what's the website?
>> the website is energy star.gov/change a lievment they can go to the Travis County website and we'll v. Energy star there and they can click on that and do the same thing.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We have two beautiful resolutions for you here mr. Williams.
