Executive Session Items

Let's call up the added items first. A 1 is to consider request from potential buyer of county property at 6701 burnet road to extend feasibility review period, and take appropriate action. That's under the consultation with attorney and the real estate matters exception to the open meetings act. A2. Discuss and take appropriate action on human resources management's recommendation regarding the reclassification of slot no. 6 in the purchasing department. Under the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 39. Consider and take appropriate action regarding city of Austin proposal to amend the balcones canyonlands conservation plan 10(a) permit, issued to the city of Austin and Travis County by the u.s. Fish and wildlife, concerning the relocation of water treatment plant no. 4. 40. Receive legal advice and take appropriate action on -- by the way, 39 is under the consultation with attorney. And the real estate matters -- real property exceptions to the open meetings act. 40 is to receive legal advice and take appropriate action on hipaa policy compliance. 1 that's under the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. And we did get a memo from barbara wilson, so you may want to take that into executive session with you if you have it. 41. Receive legal advice and take appropriate action on pilot project for bariatric surgery for Travis County health plan enrollees. Consultation with attorney. Now, I have announced the two added items and 39, 40 and 41. We will not cover more than those this morning. And I will read all of the other items this afternoon, those are the -- the resale deed items and so -- so let's just assume that we will take those this afternoon. But on the ones that I just announced, we will discuss them in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.


Turning to the easier top picks on today's agenda, are we back to executive session?

This morning we did discuss a-1 and I don't think we need that this afternoon. We do need a-2; however, and a-2 is to discuss and take appropriate action on human resources management's recommendation regarding the reclassification of slot number 6 and purchasing department consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act, and if tom knuckles or john hilly or david escamilla are in the hallway outside, the question is whether we need to announce our intention to discuss number 38 -- not 38, but 39 again. I see some lawyers and consultants here from the city of Austin is why I ask the question.

We have returned from a very long executive session, in which we discussed numerous very important items including a 1, which involves the county owned property on burnet road, otherwise known as the farmers market.

>> judge, I move that we offer to extend the feasibility period by an additional two weeks to September 11 at 5:00 p.m. But that the closing date will remain the same as previously discussed and negotiated and agreed upon.

>> the employee in slot no. 7 in the purchasing department. We did get advice we asked for and the Commissioners court the human resources security [indiscernible] descrexes designed to increase our partnership with those members.

Bradshaw this evening as I promised to do during our executive session discussion.

>> any discussion? All in favor? That passes by a unanimous vote. Item no. 45, authorize the county judge to -- the second one to allstate investments and this involves a taxpayer, david drapela, but the deed to allstate investments, llc, pay Travis County $20,000 in cash.

>> all in favor? That passes by a unanimous vote. Item no. 46, the county judge to prepare the tax resale deed to allwayz investments llc which has paid Travis County the sum of 4,800 2-d and 91 cents.

>> discussion? All in favor. That passes by unanimous vote. No. 47. I move that we authorize the county to sign the prepared tax resale deed styled home builders, llc, which has paid Travis County the sum of $4,802.91.
