11. Consider and take appropriate action on the central booking interlocal agreement between the city of Austin and Travis County.

>> good afternoon, judge, Commissioners, I'm carroll cole billions burn, I'm happy to report that we are here today to seek approval from the court of the final draft of the central booking interlocal revision between the city of Austin and Travis County. And the county's negotiation team has been working with the city since December of 2005 and we have covered all issues and the city has no problems with them. So we have the final draft here today. There have been -- there have been recent clarification from county attorney's office that I think jim connally might address, but really just clarification of a definition. That's kind of a recent addition to your current backup is the only addition to it.

>> changed since the last time that you were provided a draft was -- was a definition of city prisoner and we didn't really -- we didn't realize when looking at it that -- that the language was not as clear as it could be to -- to give effect to what we had always intended. And I called and talked to the city's lawyer and he agreed, we agreed to one change, which -- which I could give you a legislative copy if you would like to see it. But it's -- it's just had to do with -- with the definition of city prisoner.

>> okay.

>> that's the only change.

>> I believe, judge. Since the last time that you received a -- a draft. We had made some other changes to address some concerns of the court. Prior to that time, I think. That those were all -- those are all incorporated into the -- into the backup that you have right now.

>> that was rather than locking down that we were doing a percentage of costs on pretrial, for fiscal year '06 or '07, direct budgeted pretrial services for that fiscal year, which was really a nice cleanup, make it current and a percentage at the same time.

>> yes, that change was made.

>> which was real important.

>> so there are some -- some key members of the negotiation team here today, to my left is major david balagia, with tcso, instrumental of course in this. Also I believe lieutenant buckey ekret is in the audience, captain lisa brown also have been very much involved as well as jim connally and of course mike trimble was earlier on as the consultant. So but we are just presenting it here today, asking for approval from the court.

>> any more questions?

>> move approval.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you all very much.

>> thank you.

>> thank you for your hard work, this was a rather long and drawn out process, but very important.

>> judge, carol worked on the e.m.s. Interlocal as well, now central booking, I would no, ma'am make it you for health and human services interlocal. [laughter]

>> thank you, Commissioner.

>> you all did a good job. Thank y'all.
